Wales was the first country in the UK to introduce to a single use carrier bag charge (SUCB) to reduce the use and disposal of SUCBs with their associated negative environmental impacts. Winning Moves was commissioned to give insight into bag usage in Wales, and the impact of the SUCB charge on retailer and consumer behaviour.
