Demonstrating our commitment to sustainable practices, Wining Moves has signed up to The Market Research Society’s NetZero Pledge.
By committing to the Market Research Society (MRS) Pledge, we warrant that by 2026 we will:
- Be NetZero
- Publish carbon emissions
- Collaborate across our sector and,
- Encourage call outs by clients and employees on environmental concerns.
The NetZero Pledge is aimed at helping the research sector be part of the solution to the growing climate emergency, more widely being addressed by the UK Government’s legislation that commits the country to zero emissions by 2050. The UK’s sixth Carbon Budget (released April 2021) set ambitious interim targets legislating that CO2 emissions must fall by 78% by 2035 (relative to 1990 levels) to accelerate progress to the 2050 net zero target.
Winning Moves’ Director of Research and Evaluation, Michelle Hollier, said: “As an MRS Company Partner, we are thrilled to be invited to sign up to the NetZero Pledge. From a business perspective, from personal perspectives and from our clients’ perspectives – it is important that we demonstrate our intent and our commitment to our sector, and to achieving national carbon targets. The Winning Moves team is really motivated by our efforts in the area of sustainability with many of our clients – including BEIS, WRAP, Zero Waste Scotland, Energy Systems Catapult and Energy Saving Trust – working in this space. Net zero is one of the most imperative and urgent global challenges facing us today, and MRS’s initiative is a great way of demonstrating our shared commitment to making a difference for the future of our planet”.
